Job Title: Nato Exercise Logistics Planner
Job Description: Our client is an established supplier of mathematical models, software engineering services, user support and training, project management and consultancy to a variety of clients. One such client is the Joint Warfare Centre in Stavanger, Norway which is part of NATO.
Our client is seeking a Logistics Planner for the NATO - JWC Scenario Support Team.

The role of the Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) is to promote and conduct NATO`s joint and combined experimentation, analysis, and doctrine development to maximize transformational synergy and to improve NATO`s capabilities and interoperability.

An integral member of the Scenario Support Team is the Logistics Planner who will be responsible for producing logistics specific material for transformational scenario development as part of a wider scenario development cell to support NATO JWC exercise objectives.
Key tasks will be the design of scenario from the logistics perspective and the development and sustainment of the scenario logistic specific information. Build and contribute to the scenario logistic databases, develop logistic themes to be exercised by NATO headquarters, participate in appropriate exercise planning meetings and scenario working groups and participate as a member of exercise control during exercise execution.

Key deliverables will be the logistic contribution to the geo-strategic materials, to the Theatre and Country information, to the Strategic Initiation, to the Crisis Response Planning Information, to the Force Activation and Deployment Information and to the Execution Information.

Knowledge and Skills:

The successful candidate will be a former serving Armed Forces Officer with considerable logistics operations and planning experience gained in operational environments.

In addition it is desirable that the successful candidate has a J4 background and joint HQ level experience.

You will be familiar with NATO doctrine, policy, processes, arrangements and procedures.

You should be PC / IT literate and have advanced word processing, graphics presentation and spreadsheet skills. In addition you should have experience of NATO advanced tools related to logistics and movement e.g. ADAMS, LOGFAS, EVE and LogRep.

The position is initially on a 12 month contract. The contract is renewable but dependant upon NATO funding.

Please note you will need to be self employed or be incorporated as a limited liability contractor and will be responsible for all your own taxes, expenses etc. An all inclusive hourly rate will be negotiated to include accommodation, meals, travel costs etc.

The position is open to individuals whose country of nationality is a member of NATO.
