A new and exciting role has arisen to join a leading FTSE 100 company making up part of the planning team as a Production Planner. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who is looking for career progression within the Supply Chain. Our client employs over 20,000 people operating from 60 sites across the UK with a group annual turnover of over £2.7million.
This is a highly important role within the supply chain function where you will be responsible for evaluating the demand plan in order to deliver production highlighting any issues in line with medium and short term forecasts. You must ensure the timely delivery of the supply plan for raw materials in line with line schedules and the customers demand. As the production planner you will be required to attend daily production meetings identifying any issues that may prevent production being completed. You will generate adaptable and achievable production plans, in line with customer orders whilst maintaining stocking levels. The ideal candidate will have previous production planning experience in a food manufacturing environment. Sound IT skills and in depth knowledge of the Microsoft Applications is essential. Effective communication, problem solving and organisational skills are essential together with the ability to prioritise your workload.
