A new exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Materials Scheduler to join an existing team within the Supply Chain function of a leading Food Manufacturing company in the Cambridgeshire area.
You will be a key member of the supply chain team and be responsible for delivering the materials supply plan ensuring both business and production needs are met. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the plan is robust and able to fulfil the requirements of the operations team. You will be required to access and maintain the MRP and other planning systems ensuring they are updated in a timely and accurate manner. You will liaise with other areas of the business for example production planning and operations. As the materials scheduler you will be responsible for stock evaluation ensuring raw materials and packaging are available in line with production requirements. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a forecasting, planning or materials control role within a FMCG environment preferably Food Manufacturing. You will also have knowledge of planning systems and an MRP based system for example SAP or Manujistics. Excellent communication skills are essential together with sound organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload.
