A Programme and Platform Manager, with a solid background in ePublishing, is required to join this well known global company in London. You will be joining at a very exciting time as the ePublishing team is an evolving force within the business. This is a very senior line management role into which the successful candidate will bring the following experience:- Line Management, Software Development on a publishing platform, Selection of suppliers, Policies, Procedures and Processes, Infrastructure, ensuring the best fit of tools and technologies whilst working within budget and to agreed roadmaps. Key Performance Indicators will include:- Ensuring projects are delivered according to time, quality and cost limits, measuring and improving the software development capability, ensuring risk is effectively recorded and appropriately managed and recruiting, retaining and developing staff according to agreed plans. In order to succeed in this important role, you must have the following skills:- Prior experience managing a software development team working in an agile manner, Wide experience of differing technologies (both Java and .Net, for example, as well as deep understanding of web-based systems), Producing paid-for software products, ideally in a publishing/ subscription environment, Proven management skills, Be articulate and decisive and demonstrate leadership A more detailed job description will be sent after receipt of your CV.
